I got my first SLR camera when I was a teenager and have been fascinated by photography ever since. I tried different types of photography, I had my own darkroom, I did landscape, documentary and of course family life. I only discovered street photography a few years ago. In the beginning I approached this new genre rather passively, mainly by studying books and online sources, also because it was the Covid lockdown time, which was not the best time to practice street photography.

In recent years, street photography has become a way of life. I almost always have my camera with me when I walk the streets of Brussels, Antwerp or any other city I visit. Street photography makes me more sensitive to the many little stories that happen every day in the streets of our cities, it helps me to disconnect and it inspires my creativity. I shoot mostly – but not exclusively – in black and white. I try to create visually appealing images by combining architectural elements, light and shadow and geometric shapes with human life on the streets.
