My name is Maurice Jaccard, and I am a Swiss photographer based in Brussels. I rediscovered photography in 2020 when I bought myself a film camera for my birthday in early March. Since then, I never leave home without a camera—you never know what might present itself to me. Street photography quickly became an obvious choice for me; I love being outdoors and wandering the streets for hours.
For me, street photography allows me to document my life in the place where I live. I strive to capture scenes, people, and atmospheres that enable me to express an opinion, an emotion, or sometimes a critique. My photos capture everyday life, often with a touch of humor, poetry, or simple contemplation.
